I've only eaten there once for lunch and the food was excellent! However the environment was very loud and obnoxious making it hard to hear my colleague. I would go there again

A little on the pricey side, but the food is great. The pumpkin ravioli is delicious as is the eggplant parmesan. Would definitely come back and try other things on the menu. The restrooms are very clean, which is a good thing since we were seated so close to them.

The food was delicious! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the waiter was not very friendly at all. He didn't say thank you, you're welcome or smile the entire time. Go for the food, not the service!

I had the fresh local snapper (grilled), it lacked a little seasoning for my taste but decent. They have a good selection on the menu and offer each fish 3 different ways. Service was good. They have good lunch specials ranging from $10-$15.

My local Italian Fix. I've been coming to Italy Today for several years now. I am a big fan of there $8.75 lunch menu. They have several tasty dished for moderate prices. I would say there priced right for the food and location. I am typically a sucker for there bruschetta. The tomatoes are paired just right with a touch of vinegar. I like there Lasagna, the dish it self has always had good plate appeal. It's not messy like in other places. Cutting into it you can see the layers of cheese melted into the pasta and meat. I like my Lasagna with extra sauce. There's something about the taste of there rich tomato sauce that pairs very well with the Lasagna for some reason. Maybe it's just me but I enjoy and believe it's very delicious. If you like salads they have a Steak Salad that is very good. Several veggies such as onions, tomatoes, peppers and cheese, gorgonzola I believe, very fresh oh you can't forget the Steak. I always pair with a doppio expresso with a biscotti. The service can be average to above average, it's all dependant upon the luck of the draw on where you sit and what day it is. For the most part I like to sit outside on nice cool nights but in Miami you know you're sitting inside where there's air conditioner. The ambiance is nice and it's nicely lit at night if you want to enjoy and intimate yet simple dinner.

I've been coming here for the last five years. The food is good but my favorite thing is their brunch. Its $29 buffet style with unlimited mimosas, you can beat this price anywhere in Miami. Service is excellent, staff is so friendly. Must try the brunch....

This place hoes far beyond your average Italian restaurant of the neighborhood but it has grown a sentimental value as it is my grandma's favorite restaurant which w shave been coming for the past 7-10 years. It might has changed the menu, owners and employees but I love how it keeps the same concept and still maintain the most important dishes. I personally come for the "Calamari Fritti", the Chicken Parmigiana with Fettuccine Alfredo and Granny for the lamb chops (to die for) but remember to ask for the mint on the side. We always come for family birthdays, holidays and special moments. Definitely my family's favorite restaurant in Miami Lakes, FL

Reasonable prices with great food, excalent staff... food is above average, sangria was very good

Service below average but it may have been because of the language barrier. Food was excellent. Complimentary bread was yummy. I ordered the skirt steak topped with mushroom cream sauce. The wife ordered spegetti. The truffle Mac and cheese was amazing. $6 sides are enough for two.

I eat here often for lunch, I have tried many different meals including their lunch specials and off of their regular menu. I have yet to have one meal I didn't like, EVERYTHING here is good. I would have to say their ravioli is my favorite but everything is just wonderful.

As a Vegan, there are some great choices. I have been to Italy and enjoyed the world's BEST cuisine (in my opinion).....I must say, at Italy Today, the food was delicious, and the actual restaurant is very pretty. All in all, great joint, I'd come back and hopefully I'll luck out with a new waitress (who speaks English) ! It is understandable to speak Spanish only in most of Miami, but in an Italian restaurant, not so much. BUT I LOVE THE AUTHENTIC FOOD !!

This place has the best Italian food ever, and great service, ask for Rina she is the best. My favorite is the pumpkin ravioli.

Love this place! There's a small patio outside with a romantic atmosphere. The music is nice. The portions are large, but the service is quick. I highly recommend it.

It had been a while since I ate at Italy Today, so I was surprised to see a new, improved, menu and a gorgeous outdoor courtyard with tables. They still have a $8.75 lunch menu, which is the same as I remember, however they now have a delicious Polpo alla Griglia appetizer for $12.00 that I chose as my main course (I love grilled octopus and squid). Photo here: tinyurl.com/llq4b9c It was so tender I could cut it with a butter knife. Beautiful grill marks and so fresh that almost no seasoning was needed, the natural flavors were enough with just a small squeeze of lemon. On the side was a bean and sundried tomato salad that complemented it perfectly. While this is technically an appetizer, I think I will be ordering this more often as my entrée. Healthy and delicious - they serve plenty of carbs with the warm bread brought to the table upon ordering!

This review is based on a order of Fiocci , $14.00take out. Horrible presentation , not even a bread . At the same time , my husband order lunch , take out from Ken and Mike , $18.00 : veal parmigiana , lasagna , it includes the bread and napkins and utensils , at italy today not even that . I'm aware that IT is more upscale , therefore more expensive but for the same reason I expect a better service. Dine in is a very pleasant experience , very dissatisfied for take out .

It's rare I write a poor review, however I feel compelled to share my experience in this case. I ordered some take out for lunch with a co-worker. My order consisted of an appetizer of Caprese and an order of Fettuccine Alfredo with sausage and mushroom. Upon inspected the food as it arrived I was a bit concerned to begin with as the appearance was far from what I had expected and was accustomed to. I tried to tell myself, perhaps the lackluster appearance is due to it being a takeout order and the taste could be much better(don't judge a book by its cover). I was oh so wrong. The caprese salad was a very run of the mill salad which consisted of (3) slices of cheese and tomato. The tomatoes were just sliced beefsteak tomatoes (maybe heirloom, but the large ones). There was a bit of balsamic and what seemed like some oil drizzled over the dish. And for some reason... croutons. The croutons were fair at best and might have been homemade or premade, not sure. I can't image the caprese would have lost much of its flair on the ride over as it is a cold dish and the office really isn't that far. For 11 bucks..... I was extremely disappointed to say the least, as was my coworker when I had originally used the caprese as a bribe for her to pick the order upon on my behalf. Looks like I still owe her. On to the main dish; at first, I wasn't sure if they had made my order wrong as there was very little alfredo sauce. I poked at the strange looking meal to find some sauce near the bottom. Okay, it appears it is alfredo. Surprisingly, the sausages they used were quite nice as well as the mushrooms. The pasta however, tasted of high school cafeteria quality noodles and were the wide variety of fettuccine noodles, not even sure you can call that fettuccine. They were more of a Pappardelle noodle which I quite dislike. The sauce, what little there was, was very bland in flavor and texture. The portion was very small for the price of $14.45. I will never order from here again and certainly recommend you stay away. I am aware of several glowing reviews on this site, which is why I tried it. However for the near $30 I spent I could have spent $10 more elsewhere to have a delicious Miami Spice meal. TL:DR Poor food, do not recommend, save your money.

When you think about Italian food you think about spaghetti and meat balls, teramisu and pizza. Well in this place spaghetti and meat balls is something you might not want to order, the meat balls were tasteless no flavor not appetizing, watery with aftertaste off mint. The spaghetti was good but too much sauce. The teramisu was dried and cold. I'll give it one star for the complementary bread that was delicious.

Food was ok service was great so ill rate the food a solid 3 their vodka sauce honestly was mayo and ketchup

DON'T EVEN BOTHER! By far the worst Italian food we've had. Seemed as if the pasta was microwaved but odd, top was cold and bottom was hot! DONT UNDERSTAND! No real meat or chicken!!! Go to Carrabbas people for TRUE flavor!

Great Italian food. I come here at least once a week. The servers kinda suck and don't check up on you but the food is worth the bad service.

  • Yolanda L.

First tine here on a Wednesday just before closing and we were treated as if we were the first customers of the day. Perhaps it was because we were with a regular. Either way the service was excellent. The food did not disappoint. From the warm freshly prepared bread to the perfectly cooked calamari friti, to the tasty entrées, to the cortadito accompanied with a tiny biscotti, it was all delicious and well executed. That is not always the case late night during the middle of the week. This is a gem of a restaurant.

I've been here a few times before. Usually it's a nice time and the service and food is quite good. I usually get the pumpkin ravioli. This last time our server totally forgot us and my ravioli came a little cold. It was still delicious but I was disappointed in the service. We also had the antipasti sampler platter and they forgot to bring us the bruschetta although it's ON the menu!! The bathrooms were really messy too, on a Sunday afternoon. All in all I would come back but Italy Today has some work to do on the service.

  • Jose P.

First, the musicians are way too loud. The food is overpriced for what you get, and finally one sheet of pasta and two spoonfuls of meat under three inches of cheese is not a lasagna. My grandmother ordered a combination plate that included a lasagna and it was served the same way, so it wasn't that I just got a bum portion. Also, we got there with plenty of time for brunch and the waitress refused to accept our brunch request.

Soooo good. My favorite is the pumpkin ravioli ,never disappoints. Their house salad is delicious as is their bread (served warm). The lasagna is also very good.It is cute and cozy and located on Mainstreet in Miami Lakes. Ample parking too! Prices are very reasonable. I have had events there and they have always done an amazing job with the set up, service and of course the food.

bad , bad service, poor quality in food and desserts, they serve a nice moscato wine and the cortadito is not bad, in my opinion the prizes are really high for this mediocre restaurant,

Saturday night, we were seated quickly and served relatively quick. Bread on the table was fresh and our entrees were good. Not great and certainly not outstanding. The parpadelle alla vodka was good but that was not vodka sauce. My biggest observation was in the speed or lack of attentiveness our server had. After we ordered our meal I was curious about an appetizer but since she didn't offer we didn't order. Our plates were swiftly taken from our table and while the restaurant was not busy we were not in a rush. No offering of coffee or dessert and while I was full, since it was my first experience there I would have tried something. Again nothing "bad" about the place....but also left us with no reason to go back

If I had been vegetarian or dessertarian, Italy Today could easily have 5 stars! That's not a cliche, as I loved the consistency and taste of the pumpkin ravioli my friend ordered! The restaurant itself has a nice, romantic vibe to it with dim lights and candle light. I thought I even heard a decent cover of Spanish pop ballads. Our waitress was pretty pleasant, and came by at least once during our meal. The soft bread served with with bruschetta when we sat down was warm and fresh, and the tomatoes tart. Caprese salad was right up there with my favorites: large pieces of mozzarella, spinach and tomatoes with a sweetly tart balsamic vinegar glaze. The croutons on the salad were a nice surprise. Their colada with the side biscotti was also yummy; the coffee was strong enough that it was one of the rare times I didn't fall asleep at the movie next door! They even had a cool looking pizza oven...look at it when you go :) Yes, I loved the dessert! Yes, I loved the app and side! I loved my friend's order too. As far as my main course, the pasta noodles themselves were nicely aldente. However, the marinara sauce seemed watered down. I prefer a more robust saucr. The three meatballs - while decently sized - seemed to be a little on the overcooked side for my taste. They could have also used a little more seasoning. Still and all, I'm giving them 4 stars because of the apps, dessert and that I did sample the much better tasting ravioli. It has potential; I'll just order a different main course next time.

I'm going to be quite honest here. Based on the reviews of this place, I had no interest in coming here. They are located on Main Street in Miami Lakes, which is a hop, skip & a jump from my house. Even so... No interest. I was working as part of the cast & crew of an independent production and we were filming nearby and someone recommended that we eat at Italy Today. Apparently, their experience warranted a return trip. Ok... Why not? Good or bad, I can always give my fellow Yelpers my opinion, right? FOOD: I was not in the mood for pasta or anything too heavy so I decided to go with the Caprese Panini sandwich. It has Fresh Mozzarella, arugula & tomato. It tasted fresh & yummy but it wasn't anything spectacular. I took about 3/4 of the sandwich home and ate it later with my BF and it still tasted pretty fresh. Even after being in the fridge for several hours... Not too shabby. Would I order it again? Maybe. Now, the only memorable dish from this particular day was the Salmon with chimichurri and garlic spinach. I know what you're thinking... Chimichurri?? Yes. Chimichurri. This piece of fish tasted AH-FREAKIN-MAZING! It was moist and full of flavor. I honestly have never tasted such a deliciously prepared Salmon! I would return here just to order this for myself! The side of spinach was also really yummy. They didn't skimp on the garlic so if you come here with a date, BE WARNED! SERVICE: The initial waitress took our drink order and one of my fellow cast members ordered a Margarita and was told that they did not have Margarita's. She then came back a moment later & told him that they could make one for him. (Nice!) Kudos to her for going the extra mile! :) Our next server (not sure why we seemed to have 2 of them) was the one that took our food order and service was prompt & efficient. AMBIANCE: The place is small, cozy & definitely a date-night kind of place. A candle on the table and the brick oven lends a romantic feel to the room. I will most likely be giving this place another try sometime soon with the babes. :)

The food was EXCELLENT (right down to the free appetizer bread, it was delicious) but our service left something to be desired. We were literally the only people dining (4pm on a Thursday, not a busy time at all). If this were my restaurant I would tell my servers to lavish the guests with individual attention and to at least make sure they have enough water. Our server (I'll leave the girl's name out, I'm sure not everyone working here is like her, but I guess we just lucked out with the bad service today.) served our food and left, not once asking if we needed anything else or to refill our drinks. She didn't smile once or ask us about our day. I tried making a friendly conversation starter but she sort of just... stared at me blankly. It didn't make me feel welcome. But I won't hold it against her, I'm sure it's just a bad day. The food was spectacular, and the actual restaurant is very pretty. All in all, very great joint, I'd come back and hopefully I'll luck out with a new waitress!

My partner and I had dinner here on Saturday night before catching a movie at the nearby cinema. The bread they serve is delicious - warm and soft, and accompanied by diced tomatoes in balsamic vinegar. We each ordered the chicken limone with mixed vegetables. The vegetables were perfectly seasoned and delightful. The chicken was good, although we have had better. We finished things off with a delicious and very generously sized tiramisu. Overall, the food was very good and the server attentive. The only thing we could've done without was the live music. It was nicely done, but really - merengue at an Italian restaurant? Only in Miami! Either way, I much prefer the sounds of conversation at my table than the sounds of intrusive music. Still, we definitely plan to dine at Italy Today again.

Every time we have eaten here the food has been very good. You greeted promptly and the warm soft bread is awesome. The service during our lunch was great, but when we went back on a Friday night it wasn't the best. We were told they had a private function and told we would need to sit outside. It's actually a nice little area at first. The service wasn't very attentive though. Add this to the guy with the massive cigar next to us, and the screaming kid and ruined the experience. We will go back for the food.

This place just can not get it together! Every thing we ordered needed something. Even the Gin & Tonic came without the Tonic. Meals were very bland and were missing something! Ordered a margarita pizza! We opened up the box and it was a plain cheese pizza with a basil leaf stuck n the middle. I have had better pizza at the theater! Sorry! But will not be back.

For the antipasti I had the Carpaccio di Salmone Fumicato which includes the following: fresh smoked salmon, baby green onions, capers, lemon vinaigrette dressing and shaves of parmigiano reggiano. I def recommend the Carpaccio di Salmone Fumicato as the antipasti because it has a culmination of flavors that does not compare to any other antipasti. I also had the Insalata di Carne comes with skirt steak, fresh arugula, fresh tomatoes, red onions, roasted peppers, Gorgonzola cheese, and lemon vinaigrette dressing. This salad is to die for and I def. recommend it. The restaurant itself is located in Main Street and the interior decor is really nice. At night especially on Saturdays you could enjoy the playing of the piano. There's also a full bar where you could catch sporting events if you're into eating Italian and watching sports. The ambience is great and the service is awesome.

I live right here and I've been meaning to try this place must say the food was very good NOT your mom Italian type place but good non the less besides the hurricane that hit while we were eating outside the staff and manager were very helpful on making sure we were comfortable. I'd come back just for the service.

we come here almost every thursday to take advantage of their wine specials. the food is always great. the service is hit or miss, but the food makes up for it. nice ambiance and never too busy so we always get a table right away. not too pricey either. we love this place.

I love this place I've been going off and on since 2008. The last time I went was a few weeks ago and I was pleased to see that there were some remodeling changes inside. The service is still great, especially in the early evening. My favorite dish is the chicken limone, I get it every time I go.

Service is ok (just ok), food is mediocre at best. The lasagna is VERY SALTY. This place isn't for someone that wants a quality Italian Food experience. Live Band is a nice touch but they are LOUD.

  • Ruth H.

I came here hungry, and left with a big bag of leftovers due to the bread and bruschetta they serve as starters, which became my entree. I ordered the yummy Eggplant Parmesan with the side of Garlic Spinach, which I finished the next day. I think they should call it "Italy Today and Some For Tomorrow Too". Mmmm!

Service wasn't great. Food was a watered down version of American food disguised as Italian. I'm from New York, been to Little Italy and Italy itself. I asked for aioli sauce and they looked at me like I was crazy. Will not be going back.

Brunch in Miami lakes!!!! No need to go anywhere else if you want to stay in the neighborhood. Drive to brickell, gables or coconut grove for brunch?? No thanks! I'll be here every Sunday morning after I skip the usual dose of opium for the masses.

In the area for a conference I ended up here one night for cocktails with colleagues then returned the next night for supper at the pizza bar. We sat outside for cocktails and felt a little bit like we were a bother but service was otherwise OK, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I trudged in, admittedly exhausted, the next night after having to complete some work rather than joining my colleagues there for a group meal. They arrived as a group of about 20 around 630 and I arrived around 8. They were still there finishing their meals and paying their bills. I chose to sit at the pretty cool looking pizza bar for my meal. I was waited on quickly and the waiter offered a suggestion when I couldn't decide between two entrees; however, the room was so loud I was surprised when he brought the spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli rather than the pasta pomodoro. It didn't matter - the food was VERY good! I'm pretty sure the bread he brought me was pizza dough but with the tomato, herbs, and oil and vinegar mixture it was good. The pizzas looked very good. I left satisfied with my meal and happy with the price I paid.

Amended 6/3/12. Change of ownership brings ruin to this place. Bread was hard and cold. Was shocked by the poor quality of the food. The change was disastrous. Panini served with american cheese and bologni!! Appalling. My companion ordered a pasta with pancetta and it was spaghetti and chopped deli ham. Avoid at all costs. MY PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW: This is the Best Italian Food in Miami Lakes/Hialeah... hands down. The service is very good and the portions are just right (not a pile of tasteless slop slathered in tomato sauce). Their bread is freshly baked hot and they are not stingy with it. The food is well made and tasty. They have a full bar and the drinks are well made. The prices are moderate. Try the personal pizza and the lasagna. The salads are also very good and fresh. If you go for lunch, avoid the lunch specials. They charge a dollar less and give you 1/3 less food than the regular menu.

My husband and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. The food was terrific! The chicken marsala was perfect - just enough mushrooms & sauce. Wine list was pretty good, but not a lot of 'wine by the glass'. Service -- not so hot. The waiter just didn't seem happy to be there. It seemed as if our presence irritated him... Oh I almost forgot about the banana gelato! FABULOUS. I would go back just for that!

My fiance and I planned a small, post-Mother's Day dinner for our families to meet for the first time, and we chose Italy Today. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the night! We made reservations about a week ahead of time, but I'm not sure if we really even needed them... For a Wednesday night, they had a few other tables and ample staff. They thoughtfully sat us in the back to give us a little more privacy, which we appreciated. A few members of our party showed up a little late, but our server (I'm afraid I didn't catch her name!) worked around our disorganization. The fresh bread they bring out as a complimentary starter was delicious and helped us bide our time until the rest of our party showed up. Our server was friendly and patient with us yet attentive, and never made us feel rushed as we all took a while to figure out what we wanted. We ended up choosing three appetizers (all great for sharing in a party of seven): the Antipasto Toscano, the Calamari Fritti, and everyone's favorite, the Carpaccio di Manzo. Everything was simple, yet fresh and delicious! When it came time to order entrees, my fiance and his mother both had a special request (Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara), and they couldn't have been more pleased! Everyone THOROUGHLY enjoyed their dishes (I recommend the Tagliatelle con Salmone Affumicato!), and for those that couldn't manage another bite or wanted to save room for dessert happily got to-go boxes (portions were generous without being TOO much - just enough left over for lunch.) We ended the night on a sweet note of Torta di Cioccolato con Gelato, Tiramisu (massive - sharing recommended!), and Trittico (individual sized portions of Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, and Pannacotta), as well as an incredibly delicious cappuccino. Every dish we ordered was above average, and well worth the price! When the bill came, we were still pleasantly surprised at how much we got for our money's worth - I've eaten at far more expensive restaurants and have only been half as satisfied. Everything was beyond our expectations, and no one was left wanting! It was a wonderful experience, and we will all plan to come back again soon!

My wife had the vegetable lasagna and I had a cheese pizza, both of which were fresh and tasty. The service was very slow, and it took a long time to get us bread and drinks at the table. Also, I had a cheese pizza because that is what they brought me, not what I ordered. I have been here a few times and the food has been consistent and pretty good. They also have daily lunch specials that are very well priced along with their regular menu and chef's choice items. Overall, not the best Italian place to eat, but not someplace I will avoid if I am in the area either.

We recently went here for our rehearsal dinner and everything was great. The food was amazing, the place was so nice and cozy, the wine was good and the staff was great. Our guests all had an amazing time and couldn't stop talking about how good the food was! A big thanks to Italy Today for making our rehearsal dinner so special and amazing. Totally recommend!

The food is meh. Typical Italian restaurant, nothing too amazing. You will get a good meal that won't break the bank but don't expect any fireworks.

This restaurant is located in the Miami Lakes shopping mall, which seems like a nicer open-air boutique mall (decorative metal gates between the parking lot and the mall area, some interesting architecture, fountains, etc.) I've been here at least 3 times for business lunches, have always tried something different and have always been happy. They have an extensive menu with all the usual offerings of a better Italian restaurant, and they have a brick oven here for making breads and pizza (which is visible from most seats in the restaurant so you can watch them bake.) In the past they set out a selection of breads when you placed your drink order. Last week when I was here they had freshly-baked loaves which were made on-site and were still warm after being taken out of the brick oven. Amazing. Service is good, they seem to have 1 person dedicated to taking your order and serving your food, and a second person who concentrates on keeping your drinks filled. The different courses seem to come at a good pace, and the prices are very reasonable for what it is.

Do not order the fish unless you like it with bones and scales. My chicken lemon' was ok but had a funny underlying taste Nice server but she Should have asked if we wanted to order drinks before happy hour ended. ... Couldn't get the happy hour deal at 6:08.

Italy Today has a bit of a case of identity confusion, but overall it is an elegant restaurant. Your eyes will travel over the ornate chandeliers, dramatic mirrors, and painted ceilings. It's a pleasant ambiance that is mostly upset by the various sports bar-esque TVs peppered here and there. This clash of personality is consistent though; for example, the water is served in casual plastic cups when the restaurant's general feeling and character leans more towards fine dining. Either way, the main course of your experience, so to speak, is the cuisine of course. They start you with a warm loaf of bread served with a non-garlicy bruschetta, it's not bad at all. Also, service is just fine from our experience. I appreciate the lack of stinginess, they were quick to ask if we wanted a second loaf. I ordered the Mona Lisa Salad with calamari added. This did not disappoint, it was a colorful salad and VERY abundant. Roasted bell peppers, red onion, greens, tomatoes, garbanzos, mozzarella, fava beans...and (my only complaint) A LOT of blue cheese. For a restaurant to be on the side of too much rather than too little (except in the case of salt) seems to be the lesser of evils though. It's just that there were several ounces of blue cheese, a strong and demanding flavor that you simply don't want overpowering your every bite. But that aside, it was a very good salad and you will still feel like you're having something great without getting the pasta. Just ask for the cheese on the side. I tried some of the chicken parmigiana and that was delicious as well. It's a dish that I usually consider too vulgar for my taste, but they season the breading with herbs and the tomato sauce strikes a good chord, so no complaints. Fans of chicken parm will probably love it. All in all, a great place for date night. You can go walking across the street where the lake is after having your satisfying meal.

How have I been here a thousand times and not have written a review? The grilled octopus is incredible, which is why the rating is what it is. The service and plates are inconsistent, but I understand they are busy. The items I've had are good, but I wouldn't say they are authentic. I've been here at least 15 times, and the servers never remember me. Also, there have been a few times where unless I mention the specials, they don't honor them. If the price were a tad more reasonable, the service a little more genuine, and the food more consistent, this place would get a 5 :). However, I am still a regular due to outside ambience and the proximity to my house.

I had the worst meal of my life tonight at Italy Today the spaghetti and meatballs tasted like it came from a can and the Fettucini Alfredo was tasteless I like to support my town but will never go there again. The calamari tasted mediocre.

A little on the pricey side, but the food is great. The pumpkin ravioli is delicious as is the eggplant parmesan. Would definitely come back and try other things on the menu. The restrooms are very clean, which is a good thing since we were seated so close to them.

Service below average but it may have been because of the language barrier. Food was excellent. Complimentary bread was yummy. I ordered the skirt steak topped with mushroom cream sauce. The wife ordered spegetti. The truffle Mac and cheese was amazing. $6 sides are enough for two.

I think this place is extraordinary. They have amazing food,(I recommend the side of gnocchis)great servers, and friendly staff. The drinks are good too.Whenever I come here I have a great time. They also have live music. The restrooms are clean.Luis, the chef is an amazing guy.Every time I order a steak he always makes it medium-rare as I ordered. One of the best servers in this place is Gino,he always takes care of us in every detail. If you like meat and pasta I recommend the ribeye with a side of gnocchis gorgonzola.

The service and cleanliness of the place was awesome. The food, not so much. I got the Chicken Milanese, atop a mixed salad, with a side of roasted potatoes. The salad was delish with field greens, olives, fresh shaved parm, and tomatoes. The potatoes were, well, potatoes. The chicken however was literally the worst piece of chicken I have ever had in my life. And I'm talking worse than a frozen food entree. It was exactly like a breaded and fried piece of cardboard. Not even exaggerating. It was dry and hard/tough, not meaty/mainly breading, and not flavorful. I had to leave the entire thing. Boo! Such a disappointment.

The atmosphere is nice & in the heart of Miami Lakes Main Street so it's nice to walk around after. I had the house salad which was light & plentiful to share, as well as the chicken parmigiano which was shared between 2 & still had leftovers. However, I was not a fan of the chicken because it had WAYYYY too much cheese & it felt as though you were eating cheese instead of chicken. I did not like that the pasta was the "side dish" option either. The pasta tasted as though it had Ragu sauce. It was also cut; true Italians would have a fit if their pasta was ever broken/cut. I then had the cappucino for dessert. It was okay...maybe if it was hotter but it was just warm. Overall, will not be back for the high price of average "Italian" cooking.

Mmmm!

Service wasn't great. Food was a watered down version of American food disguised as Italian. I'm from New York, been to Little Italy and Italy itself. I asked for aioli sauce and they looked at me like I was crazy. Will not be going back.

Food was good, service was ok. Waiter seem upset. Threw cups and plates, didn't acknowledge us as we left. Regret leaving a good tip.

I love this place I've been going off and on since 2008. The last time I went was a few weeks ago and I was pleased to see that there were some remodeling changes inside. The service is still great, especially in the early evening. My favorite dish is the chicken limone, I get it every time I go.

I eat here often for lunch, I have tried many different meals including their lunch specials and off of their regular menu. I have yet to have one meal I didn't like, EVERYTHING here is good. I would have to say their ravioli is my favorite but everything is just wonderful.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
